This is my Top 5 Covet List

A list of 5 things I would love to have/own/do if 
money, resources and time were no object...

1. VW Kombi Van. 

My family had a Kombi Van growing up and it saw us safely on many a family 

holiday and road trip. Would love to one day own a VW Kombi of my own.

2. Sunken Lounge

Nothing quite says 70's to me like a sunken lounge (this one has bonus orange shag pile carpet!). I have always wanted a split level home with high ceilings, 

& a sunken lounge. Maybe one day...

3. Retro Cocktail Bar
What would a glorious split level home, with high ceilings & a sunken lounge be without a perfectly retro cocktail bar?

4. 70's Caravan (We could tow it with the Kombi!)

I have owned a few caravans over the years. I bought my first one when I was 18. But, they were both sold at various stages as life moved on. When the time is right, I'd like to buy another 70's caravan and restore it to it's original glory - complete with orange and yellow floral curtains!

5. Trip to Disneyland

I had a fantastic family holiday to Disneyland when I was 8 years old, and it's something I'll never forget. Now I would really like to take my own family, and let them experience the magic for themselves.

Poll - Bewtiched vs I Dream of Jeanie

I could never decide which of these two shows I enjoyed watching more.

Both had animated opening credits with catchy theme tunes, &

beautiful leading ladies with supernatural talents causing chaos at every turn.

Samantha had to deal with her mother Endora, & evil cousin Serena from time to time, as did Jeanie with her evil twin sister - Jeanie ( I always loved her green outfit!) and the episodes she popped up in were my favourites.

Still, I can't decide. 
So, I throw the poll over to you.

Little River Band & Road Sign

 Little River Band formed in Melbourne in 1975.

It's said that they took there name from the Little River road sign 

when passing it on their way to a gig in Geelong, Victoria.

On a recent road trip to the surfcoast, my friend Jenny was under strict instructions to capture a pic of the Little River sign (I was driving so the photography fell to her). 

You could say she was under a bit of pressure to get the shot given 

that we were going 100kms p/hour along the Princes Freeway
and I'd made it clear I expected a good one!

But you did good Jen, you did good.

Here is one of my fave Little River Band songs - Lady.

My sister (another Jenny!) used to sing and play it beautifully on
 the guitar, with her friends harmonising. 

Not sure she could pluck a chook now - let alone pluck out this
great tune on the guitar (ha! love ya Jen), but she used to do LRB proud.

Crocodile Dundee 1986

I love this movie. 

It's the kind of film I'll watch every time it comes on TV, 

even though I've seen it 100 times.

So many great scenes and lines - 
That's not a knife...!

But I also particularly like the end scene and last few minutes of the film -

Mick has decided to leave New York. 
As Sue has accepted Richards marriage proposal, 
there is no longer a reason for him to stay...

I love it when Sue throws her shoes off
and absolutely bolts to the Subway after Mick!
